Nagarmotha, also known as brown or Indian costus, is a grass native to India and South Asia that grows in moist, marshy areas, often near riverbanks or wetlands. The essential oil, called Cypriol, is extracted from its roots through steam distillation, yielding a deep, earthy, and woody scent with spicy and balsamic undertones.
